At She Shepherds, we encourage and equip women

to keep themselves and their churches safer

physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

To accomplish that goal, we follow three key strategies:

1. We advocate for women to

fuel themselves and others.

2. We build church cultures that no one has to heal from.

3. We challenge toxic

church practices.

You're ready for Sunday mornings to look different. You're ready for the places we gather to be filled with support, love, accountability and transparency. I'm Lori Morrison, author, speaker, former church staffer and current church security team member. Let's join forces to protect our God-given flocks.

How can we fuel ourselves and others?

“He gives strength to those who are tired. He gives power to those who are weak.” Isaiah 40:29 NIrV

Being in community and studying the Word of God is our go-to fueling step. But sometimes we need help to know how to deal with very specific situations. That's why I put free tips and guidelines on my social media pages and in my emails. And nothing beats a girls-only get together like She Shepherd's Spiritual Spa Day! What can we do to build church cultures that no one needs to heal from?

“Speak out on behalf of the voiceless, and for the rights of all who are vulnerable.”Proverbs 31:8 CEB

Systemic leadership failures are happening in too many of our churches, at all different levels of leadership.  We need to get this right. We need to speak out, not just about physical safety, but emotional and spiritual safety as well. That is how we earn the right to effectively share the Gospel. And it starts with you and me.

Why should I be the one to stand up to challenge toxic church practices?

“Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.” Ephesians 5:11 NLT

I believe with my whole heart that women are especially equipped to fight for the underdogs, even when that's us. We see, we hear, and we feel differently. We are not weak. We walk in the footsteps of Esther, Deborah, Jael, Mary, Ruth, Abigail, and so many others. Jesus valued women and their place in His Kingdom in radically countercultural ways. Let's bring out those Mama Bear instincts and protect the people God has placed in our circles of influence.
